Ok, sorry for the all caps. Its true though. In past years September, October, and in some climates November have become the most popular months for weddings. It makes complete sense when you think about it. Not too hot, not too cold, and if you live north of Oklahoma, probably some pretty great vistas. Here in Minnesota fall is amazing. When I was in Texas, fall was, well... just more summer.
When I was at the wedding fair a couple of weeks ago, I would say 90% of the brides I was talking to said their weddings were either in September, October, and November. Now because I never want to come across as a pushy salesman, I didn't really say it to them, but if they don't book soon, it will be too late. It's not just DJs though. You have to think about your venue that you want, your photographer, and caterer, and any other fun little things you might want.
Planning a wedding is a lot of work so just think about it this way. Put in a few weeks of really intense planning. Then everything is done and you can relax... a little. I will be more than happy to help you with anything you might need, or any recommendations. We work with a lot of great pros, and are always happy to help.
